She performs with Isis Noir Tribal, is a neo-vaudeville actress, fire dancer, burlesque dancer and cabaret performer. A High Priestess of Isis, Ishtar and Inanna, she has a deep love of the exotic and sensual. For Mabon, she will be offering several performance pieces related to specific Goddess archetypes, which she will keep a secret until showtime :) Ankara "Welcome to Ankara" An anchor-point of love, music, and light. We are a performance troupe based in the Charlottesville, Virginia area. Our love of music, dance, and all that goes with it is obvious in our every move. We play mostly Middle-Eastern music and are adding more and more styles of music to our repertoire as we go. We are an eclectic group of dancers and musicians, with many styles and inspirations to share. Ever evolving, ever growing, we bring our creative burst to the stage at Beltane to share our love with the wonderful people there. Share in the light, Share in the love, Share in the music. Join us at the stage for a new and colorful look at music and dance! "Fire BLITZ"
Fire BLITZ is an eclectic group of firespinners who all began their tutelage under the leader of the group, Jason. In our philosophy, firespinning is not only an art form but a way to honor the gods we believe in and pay homage to our ancestors. All of the members of "Fire BLITZ" use poi as their medium while performing. The members of "Fire BLITZ" have been spinning fire for a number of years at festivals as well as our own back yards, streets, parking lots and wherever we can as often as we can simply for the love of doing it. This will be our first official invitation to perform at a festival. We hope you enjoy it. The spinning of Poi is an ancient Maori tradition from the land of New Zealand, where way back when, men were the only ones allowed to speak during tribal meetings. The women of the tribe however, would use poi to communicate with the men during the sessions and express their views to their counterparts.
